On December 8, 2012, the representatives of CLASS, CLTA, CSAUS, and NCACLS gathered at the CSAUS 9th National Convention in Cincinnati. The NEALRC facilitated this meeting. These national organizations, focusing on Chinese language and culture in the field of K-12, initiated to form a national coalition to promote learning and studying of Chinese language and culture in American education and discussed their common goals and mission statement.
